Rules & Regulations
Clear guidelines help every student thrive. Please read all policies carefully.
- Students must bring their homework diary every day.
- Tiffin and water bottle must be labelled with name and class.
- Name, class and section must be written on the bag, books, copies and all belongings.
- Students must be regular and punctual and complete assignments daily.
- No student may leave the school premises without the Principal's permission.
- Students are responsible for their own belongings; the school is not responsible for any loss.
- After an infectious disease, a medical certificate from a registered doctor is required before returning to school.
- Bring text books and notebooks as per the timetable.
- Wear a neat, clean, properly ironed uniform and polished shoes every day.
- Use dustbins; keep classrooms and school premises clean at all times.
- Do not write on walls or damage furniture or school property.
- Newspapers, cell phones and electronic gadgets are not allowed on school premises.
- Do not loiter; visiting the staff-room without permission is strictly prohibited.
- Gifts to teachers and inviting them to personal functions require the Principal's prior permission.
- Individual problems are considered sympathetically; collective complaints are not entertained.
- Guardians may not meet teachers or wards in the school premises without the Principal's permission.
- 90% attendance is compulsory. As per CBSE, 75% attendance is required to appear in the Board exam; 85% is required for awards.
- Every student must carry their identity card at all times.
- Late arrivals, unexplained absence and neglect of homework are treated as misconduct.
- The morning assembly is compulsory; students must attend on time.
- Guardians must check and sign the homework diary daily.
Uniform: Guardians must ensure that their ward attends school in the prescribed uniform. Details can be obtained from the school office or downloaded from the Downloads page.
- Students must maintain law and order in the school at all times.
- All students must be polite and cooperative with teachers, staff and fellow students.
- Silence and decorum must be maintained during class hours, examinations and assemblies.
- The class monitor is responsible for maintaining order in the teacher's absence.
- Misconduct, use of abusive language or disrespect to staff will lead to punishment or expulsion.
- Bunking of classes is strictly prohibited.
- No child may drive a motor vehicle or bike to school.
- Wilful damage to school property must be repaired and a fine may be imposed on the offending student.
- Test and exam dates are given well in advance in the school planner.
- Question papers are prepared as per CBSE guidelines; Unit Test IV follows an objective pattern.
- Exams are not preponed or postponed for individual students, and missed exams are not re-conducted.
- Only medical leave supported by an MBBS doctor's certificate is sanctioned during tests.
- Use of unfair means will attract deterrent punishment including cancellation of the exam.
Pass marks are 40% in each subject. Promotion to the next class requires meeting the aggregate criteria communicated by the school at the beginning of each session.

Promotion Notes
- LKG to Class II: generally promoted on continuous evaluation.
- Class III to V: promoted on meeting minimum pass marks in each subject.
- Class VI to VIII: promoted on meeting minimum pass marks and attendance requirements.
- Class IX: promoted to Class X on meeting CBSE promotion criteria.
- Answer scripts are not retained beyond one month; re-checks are at the Principal's discretion.
- There is no promotion on trial; a student failing two successive years must be withdrawn.
- The fee must be paid by the 10th of each month to avoid a late fine. If unpaid by month-end, the student's name is struck off the roll.
- No student may appear in any examination until all dues are cleared.
- One month's tuition fee is remitted if the full session fee is paid in lump sum (this concession also applies to conveyance fees).
- A fee card is issued on payment of the first month's fee.
- Sibling concession: the younger sibling receives a concession on submission of the sibling concession form.
- Fees once paid are non-refundable. The fee structure can be revised without assigning a reason.
- One month's written notice is required before withdrawing a child from the school.
- All dues must be cleared and a no-dues certificate obtained before the Transfer Certificate (TC) is issued.
- A TC for a student leaving at the start of or during the session is issued on payment of six months' fees or all dues for the session (whichever is applicable as per rule).
- A child absent for 30 consecutive days without information will be struck off the roll.
- On re-admission after being struck off, the full admission fee is charged afresh.
